The Blow-Out Diet

This diet is probably the most popular in the Philippines. Its origin can probably be traced to the common sense and ingenuity of Filipino dieters. It goes by different names depending on the region you live in the Philippines. You won’t miss this diet. For some time now, people have been advising non-converts “to eat little everyday.” In the Philippines, “to eat little everyday” means cutting down on one’s usual food intake, less than your usual small serving, considering the high price of food. Word of mouth has spread the gospel of the Blowout Diet in the Philippines.

The Blowout Diet has gotten substantial literature for its supposedly consistent and systematic approach to dieting. Many disagree with the Blowout Diet because it is contrary to orthodox diet methods. We have been told to never skip breakfast. While others prefer not to eat breakfast; others eat a full meal in the morning or lunch but eat less food at night, preferably before 6 PM. Others say that eating a lot of food during the day is not good, and that it is better to eat more food at night.

Few can follow the Blowout Diet regimen, because it means starvation one day and a feast the following day. Most dieters prefer to do it the “normal” way – regularly eating a large breakfast and regulating what they eat the rest of the way. But still, there are people who find it easier to go for a whole day without eating or eating almost nothing, and make up for it the next day with a real blowout meal. That is the essence of the Blowout Diet.
